This photoshoot was created in London, near the iconic King’s Cross station — a place where the city’s history naturally blends with everyday life.
The protagonist of the series is Magda. She is not a professional model, which brings a sense of authenticity and natural presence to the images. The shoot was initially conceived in a classic style. Magda has a romantic character, which was reflected through key visual elements: an elegant cape in a rich orange tone and a book that became a symbolic detail throughout the series.
Although the session was originally planned in colour, during the editing process it became clear that black-and-white imagery best conveyed the mood, rhythm, and inner state of the subject. As a result, most of the series is presented in monochrome, with only a few images remaining in colour as subtle visual accents.
The starting point of this project was the idea of a quiet weekend photo story. A woman sits at a café table in a historic part of London, reading a book, then slowly walks through the surrounding streets, immersed in her thoughts. It is a calm, intimate moment — time spent alone with oneself, inspired by the atmosphere of the city and the emotions left by the book.
